Projects - Whistler ATAD Facility

Dayton & Knight Ltd. undertook pre-design, detailed design and commissioning of the Whistler ATAD facility for the Resort Municipality of Whistler.  This ATAD facility is designed for a capacity of 52,000 equivalent population.  
 

The ATAD process consists of:

• ATAD feed is a combination of primary and secondary sludge

• Four ATAD reactors are operated in series using turburators for mixing and aeration.

• ATAD are operated with temperature controllers to maintain temperatures at set points of up to 60^oC.  This ensures that pasteurization and stabilization objectives are continuously met

• Belt filter press for post ATAD dewatering .

• The PLC and PC wonderware programming undertaken by our SCADA team are to ensure reliable operating performance of the ATAD.
