|
 |
|

system to a full SCADA System
to remotely monitor the District's water reservoir, wells, and sewage
treatment plant.

Dayton & Knight was responsible for this turnkey project that
included the supply, installation, programming, commissioning, and
training for the Motorola's MOSCAD Remote Terminal Units (RTU),
Intellution's iFIX Human Machine Interface (HMI) and associated
instrumentation at each remote facility.
With the implementation of the SCADA System, the
District will improve services to the community. Six remote stations are
currently monitored on a twenty-four hour basis.
When alarm conditions arise at these remote sites, the standby
operator will be notified of the condition so the alarm can be corrected
before major problems occur. |

The configuration of the HMIs and programming of the RTUs provided
operators with:
 |
Data displays (such as
reservoir levels, well levels, flows, etc.) in the same format as
they appear at the field locations. |
 |
Automatic paging of
standby personnel for priority alarms during and outside normal
working hours. |
 |
Trend historical data
that enables the District to collect and display process data.
|
 |
Archived data can be
used for documentation and for analysis to assist in
decision-making. |
