Solid Waste Management
Since 1965 Dayton & Knight Ltd. has provided solid waste management
services to communities through British Columbia. Expertise is
provided in solid waste management planning, in solid waste handling,
landfilling, incineration and monitoring.
Solid waste management plans have been completed for Cowichan Valley
Regional District (CVRD), for Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN), for
Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD), for Regional District of Powell
River and for several First Nations in British Columbia.
The planning process has typically included the analysis of the waste
stream, the evaluation of the reduction, recycling and resource recovery
options, and the evaluation of landfill or incineration options for
disposal of residuals.
